GEO agency

The Generative Engine Optimization Agency for AI Startups

Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the work of getting your product named when buyers ask AI engines for the best tool in your category. As a generative engine optimization agency for funded AI startups, we run it as six workstreams, from prompt research to tracking, and do the work ourselves. For Viggle AI, pages cited in AI answers went from 4 to 279.

Why most GEO work stalls at the dashboard

Most GEO offers stop at measurement. You get a share-of-voice chart showing competitors named in the answers, and nobody changes the pages or sources that put them there. The chart only moves when someone ships the fixes behind it.

We bought a GEO tool and nothing changed

The tool tells you a competitor is named in most category prompts. It can't rewrite your comparison page or earn you a spot on the roundup the answer cites.

Every GEO pitch we hear sounds the same

Agencies promise to optimize for AI without saying which pages, which sources or which prompts. You can't hold anyone to a promise with no specifics in it.

We need named results before we sign

A board-approved budget needs evidence. Ask any GEO vendor for client names, before and after figures, and the baseline those figures were read against.

The six workstreams behind our generative engine optimization agency

GEO isn't one tactic. It's six pieces of work that feed each other, and skipping one usually caps the rest. We run all six from one roadmap, in the order your baseline says matters most.

01

Prompt research that mirrors real buying questions

We list the prompts your buyers type, from best-tool and alternatives questions to use-case and pricing ones, then record who gets named on each engine.

02

Pages written to be cited, not skimmed

Comparison, alternatives and use-case pages that open with a direct answer, carry facts an engine can quote and name your category in plain words.

03

Third-party mentions where answers look

We trace which roundups, review sites and community threads the answers cite for your category, then earn your place on them. No paid link schemes.

04

Entity clarity so engines describe you right

One consistent account of what you do, who it's for and which category you sit in, repeated across your site, schema, profiles and listings.

05

Crawler access checked on every release

We confirm GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and OAI-SearchBot can reach and read your key pages, and that Google and Bing index them.

06

Tracking by prompt and engine

Each month we rerun the same prompt set on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot and report what moved.

Covered on every engine your buyers use

  • ChatGPT
  • Perplexity
  • Claude
  • Gemini
  • Google AI Overviews
  • Google AI Mode
  • Copilot

ChatGPT search and Copilot draw on Bing's index, so Bing rankings feed AI answers. We work on search and AI engines as one program.

How it works

Days 1 to 30. A fixed baseline across every engine and the prompts that matter.

  2. 02

    Prioritize

Pick the few moves that will get you recommended fastest and turn them into a focused roadmap.

Days 1 to 30. A focused roadmap agreed, with the first fixes already shipping.

  3. 03

    Execute

Do the technical, content, authority and AI visibility work ourselves.

Days 30 to 60. Content, technical and authority work shipping every week.

  4. 04

    Improve

Track citations, rankings and conversions against the baseline and keep refining.

Days 60 to 90. A first read against the baseline, then the next quarter planned.

Who this is for, and who it is not for

A good fit

Funded AI startups and SaaS companies, seed to Series B, with a product buyers already compare

  • AI SaaS in a crowded best-tool category
  • Startups named for features but not for buying prompts
  • Teams who tried a GEO tool and now need execution
  • Founders who want named results before signing

Not a fit yet

  • Pre-launch products with nothing for an engine to cite
  • Teams that want a dashboard and plan to make every fix alone
  • Anyone expecting guaranteed placement in a specific answer

Questions buyers ask us

What's the difference between GEO and SEO?

SEO earns rankings on Google and Bing. GEO earns a place in the answer an AI engine writes. They overlap, because answers that search the web pull heavily from pages that already rank, and ChatGPT search and Copilot draw on Bing's index. They split off-site. An answer can name you because a roundup or a Reddit thread does, even when your own page sits outside the top ten.

Which workstream do you start with?

Whichever the baseline says is cheapest to fix. If engines can't read your pages, crawler access goes first. If you're readable but missing from the sources answers cite, mentions go first. For most seed-stage products it's the comparison and alternatives pages, because those are the formats engines quote when a buyer asks for options.

How long does GEO take to show results?

Crawler and page fixes register first, since engines that search at answer time read the new version on their next visit. Earning mentions on roundups and review sites takes months, and that's usually what moves the best-tool prompts. We set the baseline in the first 30 days and give you the first full read against it at day 90.

Can you guarantee we'll be recommended?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. Answers vary by engine, by wording and even between two runs of the same prompt. What we commit to is the work and the measurement: a fixed prompt set, rerun every month on every engine, so you see your share of answers move, or not move, with the reasons written down.

Do you have named GEO results, with a baseline?

For Viggle AI, pages cited in AI answers went from 4 to 279, and keywords ranking in Google's top three rose 362%. Wisemonk's citations across AI answer engines grew 414%, with cited pages up from 70 to 299. Both sets of figures are read against a fixed baseline set before the work started, and both case studies are published.

Is GEO worth paying for at seed stage?

If buyers in your category already ask AI engines for recommendations, yes, because each answer leans on a short list of sources and it's cheaper to join that list early. HeyOz launched with a single homepage and is now cited by 6 of 7 major AI answer engines. If you have no product in market yet, wait until you do.

Do you work with our content team or replace it?

Either. Some clients have writers and need the GEO brief: the prompt, the answer it should win, and the facts the page must carry. Others have nobody, and we write and publish. Either way the prompt research, mentions and tracking stay with us, because they need someone reading the answers every week.

What can GEO not do?

It won't fix a product buyers don't want, make an unreadable site citable without technical work, or replace Google and Bing rankings, since answers that search the web still pick sources from search results. It also can't make an engine name you on one exact prompt every time, because answers vary between runs. That's why we report your share of a fixed prompt set.

Let's get your product recommended.
