Best AEO Agencies for B2B SaaS and Startups

The best AEO agency for a B2B SaaS company or startup is the one that can show, for a named client, what AI engines said before and after the work. We scored eight answer engine optimization agencies on that evidence, on which engines they cover, on whether they report pipeline and on whether they publish prices. SearchAxe is on the list and is judged by the same rules, limitations included.

How we scored these agencies

Criteria first, names second. Each agency is scored 0 to 2 on four criteria, from its own website and public profiles only.

  1. 01

    Named AI answer results

2 if a named client with a before and after AI citation, AI referral or AI-sourced pipeline metric is published on the agency's own site. 1 if the metric is published but the client is anonymous. 0 if no AI answer result is published.

  2. 02

    Engine coverage

2 if the agency names five or more AI engines it works on or reports against. 1 for two to four. 0 if it only says "AI search" without naming engines.

  3. 03

    Pipeline reporting

2 if the agency says it reports signups, demos or pipeline from AI and search. 1 if it reports citations or share of voice only. 0 if reporting is not described.

  4. 04

    Published pricing

2 if prices are on the site. 1 if a starting price or range is on the site. 0 if pricing is on request.

Nine agencies were considered. Eight are listed. SearchAxe is listed first with an "Our agency" badge, as on every comparison page on this site. Every other agency is ordered by total score, highest first, and ties are ordered by named AI results, then pipeline reporting, then name. Rock The Rankings scores the same 8 of 8 as SearchAxe; we would list SearchAxe first anyway because it is our agency, so weigh that bias. The ninth agency considered, Animalz, scored 4 of 8 because its site publishes no AI answer results and no prices. Every agency was checked on its own site and public profiles on October 27, 2026.

How to choose an AEO agency

Questions worth asking on the first call with any agency.

  1. 01

Ask for a before and after

The only proof that matters is what an engine said about a named client before the work and after it.

  2. 02

Ask which engines, and how often

Answers differ by engine, and a monthly rerun of the same prompts is the minimum.

  3. 03

Ask whether they do the off-site half

Most "describe us wrong" problems come from a third-party source, which is GEO work. An AEO-only shop can't fix it.

  4. 04

    Ask for the price

If it isn't published, get it in the first call and in writing.

How we get started

From first call to work in progress in three steps.

  1. 01

    Book a free consultation

A call about your product, your market and where you stand in AI answers and search today.

  2. 02

Get a plan and a quote

We send a plan for what we would do first, with a quote for the plan you choose.

  3. 03

    Work starts right away

Once the plan and quote are approved, the work starts immediately.

Agency, in-house or tools

Agency

One team covering strategy, content, technical and authority work. Fastest to start, and you pay for output rather than headcount.

In-house hire

Full control and deep product context, but slow to hire, and one person rarely covers every engine and every discipline.

AI visibility tool

Useful for tracking where you appear. A tool shows the gap, but someone still has to close it.

SearchAxe plans and pricing

Questions about AEO agencies

What is an AEO agency?

An answer engine optimization agency shapes a company's pages so AI engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot lift a correct answer from them and cite the company as the source. The work is on-page: answer-first sections, quotable positioning lines, comparison pages and schema that matches the visible text. It differs from a GEO agency, which works mostly off-site to get a brand named in the shortlist at all.

How do you choose the best AEO agency?

Look for a named client with a before and after read of what AI engines said, a list of the engines they check and how often, reporting that reaches signups or pipeline rather than citation counts alone, and a published price. Agencies that only add schema, or that cannot name the pages they rewrote, are selling SEO with a new label.

What is the best AEO agency for B2B SaaS?

It depends on stage and budget. Seed to Series B teams that want search and AI answers handled by one partner at a published price are the fit for SearchAxe. Series A to D SaaS teams that want the work graded on pipeline fit Rock The Rankings. Larger budgets that want a content-led program suit Omniscient Digital or Minuttia. Enterprise teams with a technical site are the fit for iPullRank. The table above shows the criteria so you can re-rank on what matters to you.

What is the difference between an AEO agency and a GEO agency?

GEO gets you named in the answer. AEO decides what the answer says once the engine reads your page. GEO is mostly off-site work: mentions on the roundups, review sites and publications engines cite. AEO is on-page work: rewriting the pages engines quote. Most companies need both, and the baseline decides which comes first. See our Best GEO Agencies shortlist for the off-site side.

How much do AEO agencies charge?

Among the agencies on this list, only the published prices are quoted here. SearchAxe charges $1,499 per month for Full Service with a three-month minimum, $999 per month for SEO Consulting and $199 for an AI Visibility Audit. Rock The Rankings starts at $5,500 per month on its 90-day rate, Optimist at $3,000 per month, Minuttia at a $4,000 minimum project and Omniscient Digital at $120,000 per year. iPullRank publishes ranges from $30K. Skale and First Page Sage are on request.

Do agencies pay to be on this list?

No. Nobody pays to be included or to move up. The order follows the criteria stated on this page, applied to public information, and SearchAxe sits first with a visible badge, as on every comparison page on this site.
